In early 2022 we moved into our new house in East Dulwich, the house is a beautiful Victorian end-of-terrace and it required a lot of work so we went to The Page to see how they could help. The alcoves either side of the sitting room fireplace were empty, so it was the perfect opportunity to get some fitted cupboards here and to add some colour to the room. We also wanted to put some tongue and groove panelling in the hallway and up the stairs so wanted someone to help with this as well.
“The Page always seem to have the most reliable and fairly priced contractors out there. We went to them with our brief and they not only provided us with a great match but they held our hand throughout the entire process. Which is why we’ve already been back to them for multiple other works. I collaborated with the carpenter, Matt, on what we wanted and he delivered with the design for the alcove units.”
Product review
Being a colour enthusiast, I knew I wanted shelves which added a point of difference so we had the alcove units painted Charlotte Locks by Farrow and Ball – a bright orange which we will forever love but it was a brave decision. The colour palette in the room is vibrant but makes us feel happy every time we sit in the room. Next up was our hall which is my absolute favourite. We had below the dado rail panelled and painted green and above we added Scrolling Fern Frond wallpaper from Soane, which will forever be my biggest investment but one of the best decisions we made.
