Meg and I had lived in our upstairs maisonette on Richmond Avenue and with a baby due later on in the year, we decided to finally go ahead with the kitchen/living room renovation we’d been dreaming of before his arrival. We spent some time working with The Page to decide which kitchen designer to go with and because we wanted a slightly more hands off approach we went with Magnet.
“The Page gave us the knowledge to be able to feel confident deciding which kitchen designer to choose and most importantly, which fitter to go with. They helped us with the design and offered us their own fitter but we decided to use a fitter we found through The Page, as it allowed for more flexibility, quickly getting a number of competitive quotes from trusted contractors (rather than only one choice at Magnet), and to add on some extra jobs (painting, floorboard sanding/refinishing, custom carpentry etc). Having one contractor to cover the whole job made project management much less of a headache.”
Product Review
We ended up going with the shaker style Ludlow range from Magnet; and opted for a neutral grey – with Andrius’ team painting the wooden cabinets for us. For our splashback we sourced the Dwell emerald tiles from Porcelain Superstore, which we love.
Throughout the final design/purchases Andrius’ team were very helpful, saving us a large chunk of cash by purchasing the kitchen themselves through their trade account, and their stonemason was 2⁄3 the price and much faster (1wk vs 3wks) than the option suggested by Magnet. While Magnet’s after-sales service was disappointing, especially with a faulty extractor fan, The Page and Andrius’ team were consistently helpful and savvy throughout.
