Project brief

I wanted to do up the flat for my eldest daughter who had just started working in London. It’s a small, two-bedroom apartment at the top of a mansion block, and needed renovating completely. We wanted to remodel the bathroom and kitchen, put in new lighting everywhere and redecorate. It was important that the space be really comfortable, and functional for a young person! And of good quality, I want everything to last for the next 10 years. 

I’ve renovated properties before but was keen not to fall back on using the builders I’ve used in the past – they were up and coming then, but now this project would have been too small for them. They would have been doing it as a favour to me. I wanted builders who were going to be just starting up and really keen, coming to me with loads of new ideas and able to work with a relatively small budget. That’s why I looked to The Page for help with finding the perfect match.

As we’re on the top floor, you have to be a real mathematician to calculate the angles, there are so many awkward angles! I didn’t get in touch with Thomas much during the build, but it was so reassuring to know that if I needed him, he’d be there to help. ”

Product review

We used Fulham Howdens for the kitchen and we’re very happy with the end result. We had some issues with receiving the wrong items but Andrius really took his time going over everything with me, returning cabinetry and making sure everything was correct before getting started.
